Using SpinSite: Can I use URL Forwarding for my Domain Name?
URL Forwarding can be used if you do not wish to point your domain name to the SpinSite Name Servers. The email for your domain will not be handled through SpinSite's servers and the administration for your website must be done through the temporary URL that was initially given to you when you created your SpinSite website.

For example, when you created your SpinSite website, you accessed your site using a URL such as http://my.SpinSite.com/MySite. Later, you secured a domain name such as www.MySite.com from www.SpinSite-Domains.com. Though it is recommended that you configure that domain name to point to the SpinSite name servers, you may have reason to use URL Forwarding instead. One reason for this may be that you prefer to use a different email server. The domain would be forwarded to my.spinsite.com/MySite.

Once the URL Forwarding has been set up, you and your site visitors may access your site at http://www.MySite.com.

Important: With URL Forwarding, you must continue to access your site at http://my.spinsite.com/MySite for all site administration. If at all possible, we reccomend that you acquire your domain from www.SpinSite-Domains.com to ensure proper configuration with your SpinSite website by default.
